We have finally arrived at the Mazury Lakes district, at my grandpa's private lake, after a long drive from Bydgoszcz to Iławki. It took about 8 hours of driving across a large part of Poland and including a stopover in a medieval castle!
My grandpa's lake is a very large one. He has a timber holiday house right next to the lake, a pier, an outdoor eating area, fishing boat and a speed boat. He is the owner of three major companies in Poland. A chain making company and two plastic making companies. He has a huge house in Kraków. As you can see in the pictures, today we went fishing! We brought back a lot of really delicious fish to eat!
My grandpa is also a professional hunter and the inside of his house is completely filled with animal skins and stuffed animals from wolfs to kangaroos to zebra's!
